we toured veneto, Italy!

A delightful experience performing three concerts on invitation of A.Gi.Mus Padova Association

We explored the beauty of Veneto, Italy – and its amazing history and culture!

In celebration of winning the 1st prize, the A.Gi.Mus Padova Association has invited us to present three concerts in the Veneto region. We were thrilled to perform there, as it carries cherished memories for us, being just a swing away from where we were born and raised.

Our journey began in Venice, where we performed at Palazzo Albrizzi Capello, a renowned Renaissance palace from the 16th century. It features not just classical concerts, but also a variety of art exhibitions, the latter being part of the 58th Venice Biennale.

The next day, we boarded the morning train to Padova, the location of our upcoming concert. While at the renowned Prato Della Valle, we gazed out the window at our upcoming concert location: Palazzo Zacco. We wasted no time exploring the beautiful and astounding Basilica of St. Anthony, a significant pilgrimage site, before moving on to our second concert. Performing in a packed hall was truly enjoyable, and we appreciated the opportunity to engage in a lovely conversation with such a wonderful audience afterward.

The last concert was held in Mirror Hall at the Hotel Abano Ritz. Our day was filled with leisure in the thermal pools, renowned in the area as the oldest thermal center in Europe, attracting visitors for more than 2000 years. Performing at 9:30 PM posed a challenge, particularly after indulging in a delightful dinner provided by the hotel; however, we found a great joy in our performance there.

After two days at home in Slovenia, we were back on a flight to our second home in the Netherlands. What an amazing trip it was! We can’t wait to experience it all over again!

Our trip to Oxford

A memorable concert at the Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford

Off to UK!

Our recent trip to the UK was an unforgettable experience. We flew early from Amsterdam to London and then headed to Oxford, a city rich in history and academic tradition.

As we wandered through its picturesque streets, we were captivated by the University of Oxford’s stunning architecture and centuries-old buildings. The Bodleian Library, Radcliffe Camera, and the peaceful college courtyards all felt like a step back in time, reflecting the city’s deep intellectual heritage.

The highlight of our visit was performing at the Sheldonian Theatre, a grand venue designed by Sir Christopher Wren. Its historical charm and impeccable acoustics made it the perfect place for our performance of Robert Schumann’s Drei Romanzen, Op. 94: I. Nicht Schnell. The sound was crystal clear, enhancing the delicate nuances of the piece.

It was a magical evening, and we were grateful for the opportunity to perform in such an inspiring city and venue. Oxford’s beauty, history, and tradition will stay with us, and we look forward to returning in the future.

Oh, and yes! We were chosen as special prize winners by Artistic Director Mrs. Victoria Montserrat to play a solo recital in the Victoria Music Center in Barcelona during the 2025/2026 season. We couldn’t be more excited for this next step in our musical journey!

hey, we are online!

After many years, we finally thought that forming a duo would be a fantastic idea!

Welcome to the world of Duo Avenoir!

We’re so excited to have you here and to share our musical journey with you. Our story began with a special recording at Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam’s Kleine Zaal, in collaboration with Grycko Company and the TRPTK audio recording label. It was an incredible experience, and we are thrilled to have captured the essence of that moment in our music.

Through this website, we hope to inspire you to not only listen but also to feel the energy and emotion that comes from every note we play. We believe that the world of music for our ensemble is full of untapped potential, and we encourage composers to explore new horizons and create works that push boundaries. There are endless possibilities for what this unique combination of instruments can achieve, and we’re excited to be part of that exploration.

Thank you for taking the time to visit us. We invite you to explore our blog, where you can stay updated on past concerts, upcoming projects, and all things Duo Avenoir. We’re looking forward to having you on this exciting adventure with us.
